kanye west x adidas originals beat chanel as most viewed show of the season

Karl, we’ll let you finish, but Yeezy’s star-studded NYFW presentation this season toppled top dog Chanel as the most viewed show of fall/winter 15...and perhaps all time.

After the last look has stepped off the runway and the final selfie of the season snapped, style.com tallies up each show's page views and posts the fashion equivalent of the high school varsity soccer team list for all the world to see. Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, and Saint Laurent are typically firm fixtures in the top four, but Chanel has had the top spot on lock since the site started counting. Today, that all changed.

Raking in a whopping 4,578,461 page views, Kanye West's star-studded NYFW presentation dethroned King Karl for the first time in history, and by a significant margin at that. The Kaiser's uber-luxe cafe "Brasserie Gabrielle" still garnered an impressive 3,405,945 clicks (followed by Dolce & Gabbana's 2,905,544), but it was Yeezy's logo-free collaborative presentation that brought home the crown.

Featuring a super diverse cool crew pulled together by i-D casting director Angus Munro, a bare legged Beyonce chilling with Kim and North in the #frow, a Vanessa Beecroft-designed set, and a brand new Yeezy track, the Louis Vuitton Don's show certainly earned its rank. We've gotta wonder what Ye has in store for us next season, and how Karl's plotting to top it.
