Founded as a response to the bureaucracy of government aid in West Africa, YEVU supports small businesses and industry in Ghana by teaming up with local, tailors and seamstresses operating at the grass-roots level. Their striking, pattern-splashed collections are a contemporary riff on the ubiquitous West African wax print - think graphic jumpsuits, mini-skirts, and light, hooded jackets for the women and long-sleeved sweatshirts, loose collared shirts and hooded jackets for the men. Available in a wide range of contrasting prints and all in 100% cotton, the collections will be available at the pop-up preview on 10 December and at the YEVU pop-up space in Redfern, Sydney from 11 - 23 December. A YEVU retail space is also set to pop up in Melbourne from mid January next year.
