After something spooky to soundtrack your October 31st? We called on Leeds producer Happa aka Samir Alikhanizadeh, currently building up quite a reputation for his dark and cinematic music, to make us this horrific mix. Bringing the best scary movie scores back from the dead, he’s stitched them together Frankenstein-style with samples of Most Haunted ghost stories, audio from genuine possessions and plenty more real freaky shit. “This mix is silly and scary,” says 1-800 Dinosaur affiliated Happa, as he plots the release of his new EP, Argo, out 2 November on Fnord Communications. “It has a song me and a friend made mid-bender last Halloween, a new secret Happa track and to top it off, Untitled Spooky Demo by Lil Caspa, a pop band I’m in.”

So if you like your John Carpenter and Angelo Badalamenti with a side of fresh flesh like Yves Tumor, Marie Davidson and Xiu Xiu, this mix has your name scrawled all over it in blood. Happa Halloween to all the guys, ghouls, scary monsters and super creeps out there! May you forever rest in pieces.
