Gucci have announced that their pre-spring/summer 17 collection will be shown in London next year. Alessandro Michele, who was appointed creative director of the Italian fashion house back in January after the departure of Frida Giannini, has made his bereted army of chic geeks the hottest story in Milan over the past few seasons, but will break with the house's home town to bring next year's Cruise collection to the UK capital.

Details of the time, date and location of the show are currently under wraps, but perhaps, like Versace's wild sister label Versus by Anthony Vaccarello, Gucci wants to tap into London's party vibe and eclectic fashion scene for the 'pre' season. "I love English people," Michelle recently told the Sunday Times Style, "because they are the most quirky people in the world. They don't care". We can't wait!
