While some looks are bold studies in single colours (pink, yellow, red, and blue), others are geometric symphonies in black and white, and technicolour. The silhouettes are big and bulky with coats made out of PVC cocoons and skirts that look like they're made from plastic. Like harlequins from out of space each look is finished with a Perspex swimming cap, encased in a bubble-like helmet. For Junya Watanabe the future is bright, the future is otherworldly.
