Luxury fashion group Kering has come together with London College of Fashion to promote sustainability in the industry and amongst young fashion students by way of the Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion. Two €20,000 prizes will be granted to students who apply as well an internship with the company. Kering has been key ally in the fight for eco-friendliness in fashion and as Marie-Claire Daveu, the group's chief sustainability officer said to BoF in a recent interview "let's put our creative powers to work to design products and supply chains that are more sustainable. It will take time, but as long as we set the goals and chart our progress, we have an opportunity — and a responsibility — to make real strides towards becoming more sustainable as a sector and as a planet."
