see the first trailer for chloe sevigny’s directorial debut

It’s called Kitty and it’s about a girl who turns into a cat and we're sure it's going to be purrfect.

Fresh from premiering it at Cannes, the original It Girl's debut short film has just got a screening date in New York and a trailer. The film, called Kitty, is based on a short story by Paul Bowles, about a girl called Kitty who starts turning into a, well, kitty, except no one believes her. The first look at the trailer, starring Edie Yvonee as the titular Kitty, doesn't reveal much, but shows her running into a big house, playing with her whiskers, and running her claws along a bannister.

There's not much else to report at the moment, except the fact that it's being screened on October 2nd and 4th at The Lincoln Centre as part of The New York Film Festival, and that tickets go on sale on 11 September.
