Saint Laurent may no longer be Los Angeles based, but the stream of talent heading west is yet to slow down. On the June 11 — Hood By Air, the New York based label designed by Shayne Oliver — will be showing a special capsule collection as part of Made LA, a weekend of shows that includes Moschino's men's spring/summer 17.

In line with the industry trend for ready-to-buy collections, the entire offering will be available to pre-order during the show, landing on the brand's site a month later. This is something HBA would like to carry forward, making garments available after performances and presentations (sounds a bit like merch, which we're into).

Speaking to Vogue, Oliver said: "I would rather create my own way of speaking to my customer as opposed to being a part of fashion's reformation of itself." For his LA show, musician Sean Bowie will be performing a one-off concert, coinciding with streamed online runway show. Once again, HBA is setting the runway agenda.
