Tomorrow is the International Day of Abolition of Slavery, an issue all too often ignored and lost in the hustle and hedonism of our privileged society. Voice of Freedom is a project run by participatory photography charity PhotoVoice that empowers victims of slavery by allowing them to express themselves through photography and text. They are holding an event tomorrow in the O2 Hub, 16 Hoxton Square, London, N1 6NT. This is a unique opportunity to view these atrocities through the eyes and words of the victims themselves. The event also includes talks from those fighting trafficking and a screening of award winning short films on slavery in the UK.
