Where are you from?
Kansas city, MO, Brooklyn, NY amd Salvador, Brasil.

What do you do?
I'm an artist, activist, and educator.

What are you wearing from head to toe?
Warm, comfy clothes fit for this brutal winter.

What/who are you here to see?
I am performing in #discotropic (on February 27th and 28th) with Niva Costa, so I'm here to celebrate the hard work and creativity, plus support my contemporaries in the Triennial. Congratulations to us all.

Who is your favourite artist?
My best friends are definitely my favorite artists. Jillian and Lucas of Lion Babe, as well as Courtney Harvier and Justin Fulton. They are all so brilliant, sensitive, dynamic and committed.

What inspires you?
Life inspires me. I am celebrating my 10th year as a Stage IV Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor on April 22nd. I find inspiration in my physical scars just as I do by hearing my loved ones laugh and cry. I am a survivor of many things and my life and art are informed by experiences, losses and gains. I think the bigger question is, 'Who do I inspire?'

What are you listening to on repeat right now?
Lion babe, Oshun, Ibeyi.

What's the best thing about art in 2015?
@brohogany is only getting started. #arting
