watch lady gaga dance like nobody's watching... in a crowd of hundreds
Paws up little monsters, Lady Gaga's new video is out.
We're not entirely sure what Mark Ronson, Bloodpop and Kevin Parker have done with the Lady Gaga we used to know: her newest video presents the songwriter like we've never seen her before. Forget the histrionic days of Poker Face, Telephone and Bad Romance. Here, Lady Gaga is stripped of her trademark theatrical outfits and gaudy surrounds — instead, she's rocking a fresh face, a blonde ponytail, plus a pair of very, very brief denim cut-offs. And she's having the time of her life.
The clip makes you want to jump on the next flight to Burning Man: it's electrifying and atmospheric. Gaga joins Mark Ronson, Bloodpop and Kevin Parker — actually seizing him by the head at one point — as they jam amid the frenetic crowd.
To celebrate the release of the clip, Ronson wrote on his Instagram page, "So psyched for you guys to finally hear this. Thank you @ladygaga for delivering one of the most hot fire lead vocals I have ever had the chance to hit record on." Gaga's own Instagram page has also charted the progression of Perfect Illusion closely, featuring some candid shots of the four unlikely friends working together BTS.
It's the perfect teaser to Joanne, which is set for release on October 21. With this first single so contrary to everything else Gaga's ever produced, we can hardly wait to see what the rest of the album holds. Watch the clip below.
