The lingerie giant’s annual extravaganza aired in the USA last night. Here’s what i-D NYC thought…

Last night, Americans took part in one of the nation's most cherished annual traditions: breaking out pints of Ben & Jerry's in front of the TV and basking in the superhuman glow of Victoria's Secret's gang of Angels. Some of i-D's favourite faces - Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo - strapped on their wings for the larger-than-life runway spectacle, which this year took place in London.

The angelic posse strutted down the televised catwalk to sounds by 2014's pop royalty Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, and HRH Taylor Swift, who looked as if she'd been waiting her entire 24 years on planet Earth to chant "Shake it Off!" when surrounded by a pack of Amazonian super-babes (who enthusiastically lip-synched the year's most impossibly infectious pop anthem, in between high fives and waves to imaginary friends in the crowd).

But perhaps the highlight of the evening was seeing Nasir Mazhar wow the hometown crowd with his highly anticipated collaboration with P!NK. The East London-based designer, long celebrated for his sexy cyber streetwear, outfitted his angels with super cropped puffer jackets, bright and bold prints, and his signature logo'd elastic detailing. Mazhar injected fun and cool to his runway looks, with technicolour faux fur patches on skirts, a playful petal cropped jacket and gigantic, shocking pink faux fur wings.

And if you can't wait for tonight's show, you can take a peak at some of Victoria's sexiest Angels as they move, shake, and lip-sync to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off in the video below.

The UK will finally get to see the show (which took place last week in London) tonight at 9pm on 4Music.
