The Smiths frontman and committed vegan has an option for fans who can't get enough of creature-themed video games, but might not really be into playing Pokémon Go. Moz, Peta and indie game developer This Is Pop have created an 8-Bit arcade-style game called The Beautiful Creature Must Die. While the meat-free musician's many previous animal welfare endeavours haven't included video games, this isn't Peta's first attempt at riding Pokémon Go's viral success for animal welfare; soon after Pokémon Go launched, the company created a parody version of the app called Pokémon Black and Blue: Gotta Free 'Em All!

The new game is aptly soundtracked by The Smiths' Meat Is Murder and involves trying to save farm animals from being slaughtered by spinning blades and bombs. "This game is the biggest social crusade of all, as we safeguard the weak and helpless from violent human aggression," said Morrissey in a press release. "You don't get that from 'Pokémon Go."
