Just when we thought Kanye West was losing his ability to shock us, the rapper has hit something of a humble streak on Twitter. Last week Yeezy appeared to suggest his forthcoming album WAVES was the greatest of all time, tweeting: "This is not album of the year. This is album of the life." But now he's kind of backtracked by explaining in a pair of tweets: "Out of respect for Q-Tip, Puff, Hov, Lauren, Pharcyde, Mary, Stevie, Michael, Hendrix, James, Pete Rock, Pac, Marvin…. this new album is ONE of the greatest albums not the greatest just one of …"

After his tweet saluting great albums by artists including Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Marvin Gaye, Jay-Z and Lauryn Hill, Kanye then added: "So many musicians touch my life and made me who I am… I want to make something great to honor my idols".

Also on Twitter last night, Yeezy called time on his beef with Wiz Khalifa, which began when Wiz dissed the name of Kanye's new album. "Me and Wiz spoke yesterday. Great convo. All positive," the rapper tweeted yesterday, shortly after his wife Kim Kardashian had sent Instagram into meltdown by posting a selfie of her and Amber Rose together. Rose, who happens to be Wiz's ex-wife and Kanye's ex-girlfriend, had become embroiled in their "war of tweets" last week and ultimately owned it when she dropped the legendary hashtag #FingersInTheBootyAssBitch. Still, we're pleased to report that it now looks as though the war is over.
