Kanye West unexpectedly shared two new tracks -- or, to be more precise -- shared two nearly new tracks on SoundCloud yesterday. The first is a revamped version of Say You Will, the opening song from his classic 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak, featuring dramatic new vocals and instrumentation from Pulitzer Prize-winning violinist Caroline Shaw.

The second new offering, When I See It, sees Kanye delivering auto-tuned vocals over the old-school beat from The Weeknd's Tell Your Friends, a track he helped produce. Clocking in at under two minutes, Kanye's version definitely feels like a demo, and could almost pass for an off-cut from the 808s & Heartbreak sessions.

Kanye recently performed 808s & Heartbreak accompanied by a full symphony orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl. These two new tracks feel like a by-product of Yeezy's nostalgia for 808s as opposed to a preview from his next album. In September, Kanye described that new album -- currently titled SWISH -- as a "painting" that "may be still a year from being complete".
