explore the future of music and fashion with rinse: late @ tate britain
Rinse end their series celebrating 20 years of constant evolution by taking over the Tate Britain after hours.
For the last in a series celebrating 20 years in the biz, Rinse are taking over the Tate Britain after hours tomorrow, with discussions between music's favourite fashion stars, fashion's favourite musicians, music production masterclasses, fashion installations, digital art and live music. Rinse: Late @Tate tells the story of how the station, places and people of this nation have helped shape youth culture across the globe.
Various activities will be spread throughout the building, making it an interactive experience for visitors. Nasir Mazhar, Venus X, Katie Eary, DJ Spoony, Ben UFO and Rollo Jackson will discuss trends, cycles and bridges of influence between music and fashion in a panel hosted by ex i-D Senior Digital Editor, Dean Kissick. Krust, MJ Cole and Mumdance will each provide a music production masterclass, breaking down one of their pivotal pieces and talking about the technology and cultural factors which shaped their approach to production. See fashion installations from Cav Empt and Duffer of St George, experience art from the digital realm by the likes of Claudia Maté, Eva Papamargariti, Jack Addis, Katie Torn, Daniel Swan and Shaun Bloodworth and appease your ears with the sweet sounds of SOPHIE and Koreless, all for free!
Rinse: Late @ Tate takes place tomorrow at the Tate Britain, from 6pm - 10pm.
