The Veuve Cliquot Widow Series is a new annual Halloween event, in homage to the widowed ("veuve" means "widow" in French) Madame Clicquot, who took over her late husband's champagne business to create the iconic House of Veuve Clicquot.

For its inaugural event, they have teamed up with Nick Knight and SHOWStudio to turn the abandoned building on Southampton Row, that used to house the Central Saint Martins students, into an immersive exhibition called A Beautiful Darkness. It takes you on an eerie journey through rooms of witchcraft and taxidermy, curated by the likes of Gareth Pugh, Scott Campbell and Lady Amanda Harlech, and will premiere four fashion horror films commissioned by SHOWStudio, one of which has been created by Nick Knight himself. "It is an honour to have been chosen to front the first ever Veuve Clicquot Widow Series," Knight tells i-D. "I feel that both Veuve Clicquot and I are aligned in the wish to champion new ways of displaying fashion, and particularly fashion film. I founded SHOWstudio to be the home of fashion film and it's exciting to see how many talented creatives are embracing it, a selection of whom will contribute to this very special occasion. I hope A Beautiful Darkness will be a truly unique cultural event that will offer attendees a new way of seeing fashion and art as well as proposing a beautiful new dark aesthetic to celebrate Halloween."

We got an exclusive sneak peek at Knight's chilling take on Halloween horror, titled The Face of a Dying Dog… Press play at your peril!

The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series A Beautiful Darkness, curated by Nick Knight and SHOWstudio, will be open to view for one day only at The College, W1CB 4AP on 29th October.
