#behervoice wants to people to speak up and make their voices heard.
One in three women around the world will be victims of domestic abuse or coerced into sex during their lifetimes. In the UK one in five women take medical leave each year because domestic abuse each year. In the US one in five women are sexually assaulted during their university studies.
For International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on the 25th of November, British designer Stella McCartney and Kering Foundation are joining together to help raise awareness of the plight many women suffer. To this end they've started a "white ribbon for women" campaign, distributing the Stella McCartney designed badges to every customer of one the group's stores, as well as using the #behervoice on social media to speak up, and break silence instead of lives.
