Imagine trying to explain to someone ten years ago that, in the future, our battles for the common good would be fought by reality TV star, make-up mogul and wife of Kanye West, Kim Kardashian. Nobody would have believed you, and with good reason, because it’s ridiculous. But now here we are, in 2018, with a bloke off The Apprentice as President and Kim lecturing him on prison reform. Things are ridiculous and we embrace it! So it makes sense that KKW has taken on a new diplomatic mission for us, the people: she’s trying to get a long-overdue edit button for Twitter.

After rubbing shoulders with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey at Kanye’s birthday party, Kim shared with the world (on Twitter, naturally) that she thinks he “really heard her out” on the possibility of the edit button, as anxious users around the world hold their breath for our savior to pull through.

It’s not the first time Kim has spoken about her new cause celebre. She first began her lobbying for the function all the way back in 2015, and in 2016 Jack admitted (in a tweet, of course) that the function was “definitely needed” on the social networking service. So if Kim manages to pull this off, it’ll be three long years of hard work come to fruition.

We believe in you, Kim.
