From London to L.A., Korea to Kiev, i-D’s video team has travelled the world this year to capture the stories, events and characters that matter most.
On Sunday, i-D invited Boy Better Know’s JME to have a chat with Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the Labour party and the only man who stands between the country and five more years of Tory government. The two met on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Spoke, a café in Islington, the constituency where Mr. Corbyn has been MP since 1983. The meeting followed exchanges between the two on Twitter, with JME among a number of MCs – including i-D cover star Stormzy, Novelist and Akala – to lend the Labour leader their support. Over a sparkling water, the two chatted grime, youth engagement, and the need to make your voice heard; it sees the pair trading thoughts on Corbyn’s unpopularity among some of his Labour party peers and why young people voting is more vital than ever before. Watch the film above, and if you haven’t already, register to vote!
