grace coddington has launched a fabulous fragrance!
The fashion visionary collaborated with Comme des Garçons on the feline branded perfume.
Throughout her career as a model and later as creative director of American Vogue, Grace Coddington has always had an affinity with fragrance. As she grew up, so did her scent: when starting out as a model, Gracewore Floris's classic Red Rose eau de toilette; when she worked at Calvin Klein she wore Calvin Klein; Chanel No. 19 when she moved to Vogue, and later Hermés Rose Ikebana Hermessence Perfume. "My mother had a rose garden, and it just never occurred to me to smell like any other smell except rose," she revealed to American Vogue.
Now that she's taken a step back from Vogue, Grace has found a new fragrance—one of her own creation. She teamed up with Comme des Garçons to create the scent: a blend of peach blossom, white musk, amber crystal and, of course, Moroccan rose, presented playfully in a cat-shaped bottle. We're excited to douse ourselves is the fragrance of one of fashion's finest visionaries.
Grace by Grace Coddington (from $110USD) will be available from April 19th at Dover Street Market.
