Watch the emotionally charged clip from post-apocalyptic R’n’B star Jonny Telafone.
Melbourne based performer and producer, Jonny Telafone, has released a video for his new track Waking Up Crying.
Directed by HTRK's Jonnie Standish and friend Frank Valvo of iconic Melbourne salon, Fur Hairdressing, we see Jonny in the video attempt to find Tinder dates and seek seclusion in the rain, all set to sounds of post-apocalyptic RnB. The track also features a verse from Bones, heard most recently all over the new A$AP Rocky joint, Canal St.
As Standish explains, "Haunted by the psychic energy of a girlfriend from a past life, Jonny attempts to find her on the monogamous dating app. Jonny adds relentlessly to the one billion swipes per day. After months of swiping left he sees her and swipes right. It's a match. The two have a first date at the hip new restaurant 'Supernormal'. After some easy small talk, something doesn't feel right."
