Since 2013, Craig Green has been a dependable highlight of London Fashion Week Men’s. Graduating from Central Saint Martins’ fashion MA course in 2012, and showing his first collection as part of Fashion East’s MAN a year later, his innovative menswear designs have won him critical and commercial success every season, and earned him British Menswear Designer of the Year at The Fashion Awards, twice. Not only that, Craig’s spring/summer 15 show -- his first standalone show after graduating MAN -- was so delicately beautiful and visceral that it reduced the audience to tears. A truly ‘where were you when...?’ fashion moment.

But alas, this season Craig won’t be eliciting tears from the FROW and showing as part of LFWM. Announced by Business of Fashion this morning, Craig will instead present his spring/summer 19 collection at Pitti Uomo, Florence’s biannual menswear tradeshow, following in the footsteps of recent guest designers like Jonathan Anderson, Virgil Abloh and Raf Simons. "I'm honoured to be invited to show my collection as the guest designer of Pitti, joining the incredible list of designers who have participated previously," Craig said to BOF.

With an ambition to grow his brand commercially and internationally, the move makes perfect sense for Craig. As for LFWM this coming season, he’ll be sorely missed.
