Now that fashion month is truly behind us, and we've had time to catch our breath, it felt like the perfect time to reach out to the antipodean models who won our hearts this season. Some of them might already look familiar — Duckie Thot did Rihanna's show, Kye Howell walked Margiela, and Hannah Elyse did Louis Vuitton — but, if their names don't ring a bell, they soon might. We're banking on these girls to carry the torch for the antipodes in seasons to come. From Sydney to Aukland (and in between) these beauties with brains could be our next supers.

How many seasons have you walked?
I've walked two seasons now, but I haven't done the full circuit just yet. Hopefully next season I'll be able to hit all four major fashion capitals.

How many shows did you walk this season?
I walked six shows. I opened and closed the same show in London which was a huge milestone for me. Walking Rihanna's Fenty X Puma show was a definite highlight, and being in Paris for the first time with all my girlfriends was a lot of fun. Wrapped on a high note!

What's your favourite way to pass time backstage?
I'm a talker. I chat to models, stylists, and people on production to pass time. I'm not huge on listening to music in my headphones backstage, I find it antisocial, haha!

What are you doing to relax now that it's all over?
No rest for this girl. It's straight back into jobs and castings and I just moved into a cute new apartment in NY. It's so nice to be back, living out of a suitcase can be a bit of a challenge!

How many seasons have you walked?
This is my first fashion season. I only started modelling full time when I was signed by Debut Management in September 2016, so this is all really, really exciting for me. A goal I didn't expect to kick so soon!

How many shows did you walk this season? Tell us some highlights!
I walked in 12 shows and did three presentations. One of the many highlights was opening and closing a show for the first time in Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week for Galia Lahav. I felt like an absolute princess, wearing dresses like artworks. Walking for Ashish was especially fun, I've admired his work and was stoked to be painted like a warrior. As it was my first fashion season, I only planned to stay in London and Paris but was surprised by a direct booking to walk for Byblos in Milan. That was awesome, such an impressive collection and wonderful crew to work with. Milan was a beautiful surprise and I would definitely recommend going to town on the ravioli there. Y/project was an epic show, I LOVE Y/Project! I was really taken aback having sophisticated brands getting behind me, as in Sydney I hang out with creatives, weirdos and damn right freaks. Above all, the best part has been meeting so many lovely and inspirational people. I'd be chilling amongst a bunch of babes speaking so may different languages, all with different stories to share. That was one of the most enriching parts for me.

What's your favourite way to pass time backstage?
Backstage chills usually involved my headphones, a good playlist and my sketch book. If I'm not drawing or listening to music (Sade forever) backstage I would usually be raiding the snack table and chatting with other models.

What are you doing to relax now that it's all over?
I've just returned to London after going to Niort where my family live. There I simply enjoyed the countryside serenity. Going for walks along the nearby lake, drinking delicious wine, eating French food, sketching my surroundings and spending time with my family. What more could one want!

How many seasons have you walked now?
I walked my first fashion week outside of New Zealand this February, after three years of walking in shows back home.

And how many did you walk this season?
I started by just doing four shows in London this season, but I'm looking forward to working with many more lovely designers, models, and artists all over the world later on this year. I never really thought that I'd feel so much like a small town girl before I came over to London! Working with designers that I could only dream about before and meeting beautiful, talented and kind models from everywhere around the world has been such a heart and mind opening experience.

What's your favourite way to pass time backstage?
Shows are great for meeting lots of other models and making friends, but when I'm a little worn out, curling up in the corner with a good book is perfect.

What are you doing to relax now that it's all over?
Treating my feet well and eating plenty of chai custard donuts, other than that it's back to work for me!

How many seasons have you walked?
Last season was my first but I only went for Paris, so I suppose this was my first proper season.

How many shows did you walk this season?
I walked six shows, and my main highlight was walking for Margiela. That house has always been a favourite of mine and it was a real dream being able to work with John Galliano. My experience with Fendi was great, I think I was given the best outfit — I mean, red is my favourite colour so I lucked out.

What's your favourite way to pass time backstage?
Music and a book is normally the way to go, but actually this season, I was mainly just on my Duolingo app. I'm trying to learn Spanish.

What are you doing to relax now that it's all over?
I think I'm going to go bowling today.

How many seasons have you walked?
This season was my fourth!

How many shows did you walk this season?
I walked for ten shows, my highlights included being Jeremy Scott's Bettie Page, wearing the butterfly dress by my close friend Francesco Scognamiglio, and of course feeling strong and beautiful in Louis Vuitton.

What's your favourite way to pass time backstage?
Once I'm ready, honestly I just smoke cigarettes and drink coffee. I listen to my favourite hardcore/punk bands to get me in the mood; Ill Natured, Blinded, Broken, Born Free, Relentless.

What are you doing to relax now that it's all over?
I'm in Sydney Australia right now, taking a break. Just hanging out with my friends and family.
