david lynch remade twin peaks for a japanese coffee company
And it was damn good.
When you wake up in the morning and all you want is a "damn good coffee", look no further than these David Lynch directed adverts for Japanese coffee brand Georgia Coffee. Not your average cup of Latin American rich roast, this type of coffee is best (read: only) served cold in a can. Commissioned way back in the 90s, the four-part ad campaign follows the same story line as Lynch's legendary Twin Peaks, and stars none other than Agent Dale Cooper as he reconstructs his search for a missing girl, encountering Log Lady and Black Lodge along the way. This is not the first time the cult director has gone off piste, having directed surreal ad campaigns for Alka-Seltzer and Barilla pasta sauce in the past. While a second series of four adverts was commissioned, the company cancelled it after being dissatisfied with the first. We think it's perfect.
