The first full trailer for the film adaptation of beloved manga series Ghost in the Shell has arrived, and it's good news for fans of holographic coy carp. Set to a moody Depeche Mode soundtrack (Basildon synth pop apparently undergoing somewhat of a revival in 2070), the trailer stars Scarlett Johansson as a crime-fighting human-cyborg on a mission to uncover exactly who she is. Johansson's casting was, of course, met with much backlash when announced — many accusing producers of whitewashing a role that is canonically Japanese. Although some will understandably continue to find the trailer disappointing, there's much to be admired in the futuristic visuals created by director Rupert Sanders. Keep your eyes peeled for former i-D cover star Adwoa Aboah too.
