There is an irreverent nature we have come to expect from Ashley Williams that makes her one of London's Fashion Week highlights. This season her girl hit the office in a way that only she could, taking the monotony out of classic workwear and with it became chairwoman of the board. Her neon green and pink shift dresses and suits felt perfect for the girl who knows she's the boss and her slogan tees brandished with 'terrestrial', and 'pierced ears' kept some of the tongue-in-cheek spirit from season's past. Her girl felt self-assured, confident and quite frankly, she didn't give a damn. Illustrations of tazers on polite dresses and buttons replaced with fastenings of ball closure earrings reminded you Ashley's girl has got an edge. This isn't so much a statement about gender fluidity as about inner confidence," says Ashley in the post-show press release. "It's about having the guts and confidence to wear clothes that transform you into who you are." Who was she? She was a bitch, she was Being In Total Control of Herself....and there ain't nothin' wrong with that!
