The upswing in luxury stores across Australia over the past year, and particularly this week's opening of a Dior store in Brisbane, only cements our evident love of fashion. Particularly when it comes to a store as thoughtful and beautiful as this. Taking inspiration from their Paris flagship, the store carries wares from across the Dior women's universe—from ready-to-wear to bags, shoes, accessories. In a coup for the newly launched boutique it's also stocking a special beach-themed capsule collection containing swimwear, beach towels, slides and more, that's only available at 30 Dior stores globally.

To celebrate its opening talented Australian actors like Bella Heathcote and Isabel Lucas, plus musical guests like Lisa of The Veronicas, wore signature looks weaving the kind of strength and femininity that Maria has championed. i-D friend and sometimes collaborator DJ Arian provided the tunes as guests ate miniature biscuits printed with an iconoclastic 18th century French print while deliberating on which saddle bag they'd like best. What a time to be alive.
