Rebel Yell initially caught our attention last year with her enigmatic debut EP Mother Of Millions, her first venture away from playing in Brisbane band 100%. The haunting, moody, industrial electronica offering was inspired by a CD called Dark Tech she found in an op shop in 2000 and the Hackers soundtrack. With influences like that, how could we not be hooked?

Oh her new single, High Authority, she pushes even further. Working with an upgraded gear set-up, and showing off her swelling experience as a solo performer, it's more direct, confident and dance focused. Describing it to i-D as "out with the old, in with the new," she continues that across the track and video she's getting mean and taking what she wants. Concluding, "I'm the boss, I'm your boss."
