Who inspires you? People who remain bright and positive regardless of any opposing circumstances and wake up everyday with an open mind excited for what the new day is going to bring!

What's the best thing about being young and creative in 2014? Less boundaries—the increased level of acceptance of others is allowing us to express ourselves a lot more.

What makes you hopeful for the future? Technology and how it is allowing us to communicate as a global community. There is so much to learn on the interweb and we can be educated about global issues anywhere in the world without ever leaving our bedrooms!

What's your proudest acheviment? Learning to be alone. This has come from traveling for work. I've grown as a person and learnt to embrace every new experience that I'm lucky enough to have.

Favourite place to travel? Asia! My highlights being Cambodia and India. I love how incredibly different everything over there is, it's a massive step outside of the western world.

What do you collect? Awkward green screen photos from tourist attractions.

Favourite piece of art? Mother Nature.

Any other creative outlets? Acting and free style dancing (mostly in my living room).

The best things in life are... Moments shared in special places with special people.

The most confronting thing I ever did was... Eat a real water bug on a film gig last year. No need for acting there!

The best film I saw this year was... The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Everything changed when… I moved to Sydney and modeling became a real adult occupation.

If I could be anywhere else I'd be.... in the Andaman islands with my best girls.

Age? 42

Occupation? Visual artist/vintage clothing merchant/professional hoarder.

Who or what inspires you? Solitude.

What's the best thing about being young and creative in 2014? Not so sure about being young but for me being creative in 2014 means there are no restrictions or labels defining creativity anymore. Many artists are crossing disciplines and mixing things up which I find really exciting. Anything goes now.

What makes you hopeful for the future? That humanity finds a way to coexist in peace and harmony. It makes me sad that there is so much conflict in this world.

What's your proudest achievement? Completing my masters.

How has living in Sydney shaped what you do? Being here I guess has shown me that I can make a living from what I love to do. Art, vintage, whatever?

Favourite place to travel? Tokyo/San Francisco/my hometown.

What do you collect? Mid century Italian and Danish ceramics/obscure early 80s synth boogie.

Favourite piece of art? An Alexander Calder mobile that was shown here in Sydney. I remember being in the room with it for an hour, watching it rotate so slowly and gracefully that with each turn the whole thing changed and became a different piece of art. It had such an impact on me.

Any other creative outlets? I embroider, draw, make ceramic objects and daydream.

How has living in Sydney shaped your aesthetic? I have always had my aesthetic. Most of it comes from growing up in the 70s while other parts I've collected along the way. Sydney hasn't played much part in that. I could be living anywhere and still have the same aesthetic. One thing that does shape it though is time and age. As you get older your aesthetic becomes more fine tuned.

If you weren't doing this, what would you be doing?Archeology.

The best things in life are...simple pleasures. Good coffee, warm hugs, chocolate and the smell of jasmine.

The most confronting thing I ever did was...I don't confront!

Everything changed when…I moved to Sydney from the country.

If I could be anywhere else I'd be....probably back in the country.
