Moscow might not be the first city that comes to mind when thinking about the fashion capitals of the world. But, with a continually growing fashion week and uptake in students studying a BA in Fashion at the British Higher School of Art & Design in Moscow, this is slowly changing. Looking to grow further, and connect with international designers, the Russian Fashion Council and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia have announced a joint initiative -- Global Talents -- that offers 10 designers a free show on their next schedule as well as organisational and logistical support.

The show -- which will also be streamed worldwide -- will be an opportunity for an emerging designer with at least two years experience of operating and at least three fully-produced collections, to show their collection to an international audience of press and buyers. MBFW Russia runs between 30 March -- 3 April and applications are open until 1 March.

“Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is always looking for new talents and has already launched a number of projects for young designers,” said President of Russian Fashion Council and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, Alexander Shumsky. “For the first time 10 selected emerging designers from different countries will be granted a show on the biggest fashion week in Russia and eastern Europe.”
