Craig David is "back in that 16-year-old kid mode, hungry, passionate and making music that [he's] truly proud of."
2015 was kinda the year of the Craig David comeback. It all began with his huge Fill Me In x Where Are Ü Now cover on BBC 1Xtra in December, shortly followed by the garage tune When the Bassline Drops with old friend Big Narstie. The latter became his first UK Top 40 hit in over seven years.
Now he's making his return to the charts official, with the upcoming release of Following My Intuition — his first album in six years. It's set to be 14 tracks long, and yes, When the Bassline Drops will be on there. Craig has hinted he'll return to his Grime roots, and promised R&B bangers. "I'm back in that 16-year-old kid mode, hungry, passionate and making music that I'm truly proud of," Craig told the Guardian. "I want to deliver the music that people have been asking for, for so long, following my intuition and coming from a great place." There's no official release date yet, but we can't wait.
