saint laurent takes kate moss to the beach for its latest campaign
We wouldn’t recommend wearing this in the sea tbh.
One of the highlights of Anthony Vaccarello’s autumn/winter 18 collection for Saint Laurent -- following a sexy ensemble of black, sparkly eveningwear -- was its floral finale of evening dresses with gravity defying shoulders. It was pure rock’n’roll 80s glamour, and a perfect modern take on a classic Saint Laurent staple. Now, you can now check out the imitable Kate Moss donning said items, soaking wet, strewn across a tropical beach, in a new campaign video and imagery shot by Inez and Vindooh.
The campaign follows a teaser for autumn/winter 18 released back in March, featuring French socialite and muse to Yves himself, Betty Catroux. In the video, shot by David Sims, Betty dons her trademark black leather jacket and dark sunglasses to the tune of The Velvet Underground’s Venus in Furs.
Last month Anthony presented his first standalone men’s collection on the banks of the Hudson River in New York. The look Anthony has cultivated over the past few seasons for Saint Laurent is one that translates just as effectively to menswear. Sharp, striking silhouettes, sheer tops and artfully tailored leather.
