Over the last three years, creative director Alessandro Michele has overseen Gucci's hyper-referential transformation and, as his ornately collaged world continues to seduce critics and consumers alike, its campaigns have continually pushed possibilities and ignited imaginations. In recent seasons alone, we’ve partied the night away with Northern Soul dancers, explored explored far-flung galaxies, reimagined iconic artworks and travelled back to 80s Harlem. Tired? Well, for Gucci’s men’s tailoring campaign for autumn/winter 18 they keep it refreshingly real with a shoot at a chippy. It must be a Sign of the Times (#sorrynotsorry). What’s that? You haven’t bumped into Harry Styles feeding scraps to his pet chicken (and dogs) dressed up in fancy suits in your local end-of-night hangout? Must be a north London thing. ;)
From the stage to the frow, Harry has rocked countless Gucci suits but this Glen Luchford-shot campaign take the love to the next level. Here, the singer, songwriter, actor and all-round dreamboat is pictured in a variety of Gucci tailored outfits, including two suits with waistcoats, a dressing gown worn as a coat, a decorative dark wool mohair jacket with embroidered collar detail, and a white-oatmeal hued macro bird’s eye wool suit with MLB NY Yankees patches. If you’re heart could take anymore cuteness, Styles’ pet chicken and dog ensure peek cute overload. As generation z empties its wallet to Kering’s flagship brand, the sight of the pop prince with a few feathered and furry friends will only push overdrafts further into the red.
