We snuck backstage during John Galliano’s latest sci-fi offering for the iconic fashion house.

With their inter-galactic earpieces, headsets, and goggles, John Galliano sent us outer space to find another race for Maison Margiela spring/summer 17. A considered deconstruction of everydaywear, Galliano once again turned fashion on its head. There were raincoats turned inside out, mesh gloves, haute yoga mats, and space age sportswear galore, while his palette ranged from hi vis yellows to jewel-toned metallics. Rounding it off, i-D fave Pat McGrath worked her make-up magic on the models. Cue blue shimmery lips, body glitter, lilac brows, and lemon yellow lids, underlined with mint green stripes. It was a visual feast and we were lucky enough to sneak backstage to capture it all...
