my disco: music to...get dark to

Who better to get you in the mood for Dark Mofo than Melbourne’s post punk masters?

It feels strange calling My Disco Melbourne music icons, as they look like they're young enough to still be getting carded. But despite fresh faces, the trio have spent over a decade creating visceral post punk for people who like their black eyes with their black coffees.

In the lead up to their Dark Mofo show with Jake Blood and Kusum Normoyle, they've created a mix for i-D to make sure you're ready for the darkness the festival is famous for.

Music to shift your mood from staying in to staying up all night... Mumdance — Take Time feat. Novelist

Music to kiss and make up to... Easter - Ur a Great Babe

Music to heal a broken heart... Aux 88 - Music is Your Medicine featuring Samara Naier

Music to get high to... Joy O & Boddika - Mercy (Boddika VIP)

Music to change your night from mediocre to magnificent... Larry Heard Presents Mr. White: The Sun Can't Compare

Music to take a long drive to... The Expanding Universe

Music you'd like played at your funeral... Got To Be Real - Cheryl Lynn '1978

Music to play at the afterparty when it's 6am and the sun is beginning to rise... Makam - What Ya Doin'

Music that could put even an insomniac to sleep... Fennesz + Sakamoto - Cendre
