Established in 2000, by the Old Truman Brewery, Fashion East is the non-profit initiative, dedicated to nurturing the talent of fashion’s dreamiest young things. Thanks to funding from Topshop, TOPMAN, and The Greater London Authority, and guidance from founding director Lulu Kennedy and her team, each season Fashion East offers three womenswear and three menswear designers the opportunity to show off their catwalk collections at London Fashion Week, and later in the Paris sales show rooms. In the past, successful candidates have included fashion superstars Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, Gareth Pugh, House of Holland, Marios Schwab, Louise Golding, Roksanda Ilincic, and Meadham Kirchhoff – basically all the big names in British fashion.
