Born in Brazil, Francisco Costa is known to most as the man who took over as Calvin Klein Collection Creative Director, Womenswear, from Calvin Klein himself, with his first collection for the brand debuting for spring/summer 2004. Francisco left Rio de Janeiro in the early nineties for New York, studying English at Hunter College and fashion at FIT. From there he went on to design for Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta, Balmain (alongside Oscar), eveningwear with Tom Ford, eventually moving to Calvin Klein Collection in 2002.
