Cypriot stylist Panos Yiapanis was first introduced to the fashion industry via his friend, the late photographer Corinne Day. Through this collaboration with Corinne, Panos's benchmark editorial Lame was published in The Renaissance Issue (March 2001); Lame set the mood for his signature subculture aesthetics and dark, brooding romance. The only stylist to appear in their own work at i-D, Panos was photographed by Corinne, wearing Raf Simons autumn/winter 2001 in front of a destroyed curtain. Today he's highly regarded for his styling of Rick Owens and ongoing collaboration with Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy, whose menswear has proposed an entirely new blend of masculinity. Based in London, he regularly contributes to magazines including Arena Homme Plus, V and AnOther, working with photographers such as Mert and Marcus, Inez and Vinoodh, Willy Vanderperre, Juergen Teller, Mario Sorrenti and Steven Klein to name just a few.
