Passionate about pugs (he has five, Molly, Maggie, Monty, Margot and Maude), Italian designer Valentino Garavani has been turning women into goddesses since 1960. Having honed his design skills in the couture houses of Jean Dessès and Guy Laroche, Valentino found his forte in womenswear. Decadently elegant, the Valentino look is one that flaunts and flourishes the female form. However, in 2007, after celebrating 45 years of living la dolce vita, Valentino announced his retirement from fashion. Aside from pugs, Valentino particularly enjoys hitting the snowy slopes of Switzerland. He’s also quite partial to the colour red.
