Part milliner, part magician, Stephen Jones OBE bestows a sense of mystery on every head his hats touch. Exploding onto the London scene in the late seventies when street style was raging, the Cheshire born hatter was a Saint Martins student by day, and club kid by night; he was regularly seen cat-walking off the bar at the legendary Blitz nightclub, dressed as some sort of exotic bird. Every one of his hats dazzles the mind, but his most iconic piece has to be his Union Jack bowler hat. Stephen likes to snack on vintage Champagne and if he wasn’t a milliner he would have taken an entirely different route; into astronomy or physics.
