Joe McKenna left his homeland of Scotland for the bright lights of London in search of a career in acting, and he did, in fact, find some success and appeared in Coronation Street as well as a couple of films. However, film was not his true calling, and soon he found himself immersed in London’s burgeoning fashion scene. Joe began to style for Ray Petri’s The Face, eventually starting his own iconic magazine, Joe, in the 90s. In keeping with his inclination for differing careers, Joe also has a stall in Dover Street Market, where he sells clothing that originated from collaborations with his friends, including Bruce Weber and Inez and Vinoodh. His most recent work for i-D was the cover of The Just Kids Issue (Pre Fall 2012), for which he shot Janice Alida.
