Swiss-born Beat Bolliger studied fashion in Paris and began his career as a casting director before establishing himself as a stylist. Collaborating with the likes of David LaChapelle, Mario Testino and Mert & Marcus, he worked on a range of editorials for some of the world’s biggest publications. In 2010, his wet and wild editorial with Alasdair McLellan and Agyness Deyn for The Define Yourself Issue defined the spirit and playfulness of youth. Beat collects skulls and says cashmere and jellybeans are his vices. He’s dressed everyone from Julianne Moore to Pamela Anderson, but claims that when he was growing up he wanted to be a pianist instead.
