Italian fashion house Moschino, founded by Franco Moschino in 1983, has spent 2013 celebrating its 30th anniversary. It might have grown up since its logo-mania 80s heyday (remember phrases like ‘Ready To Where?’ or ‘This Is A Very Expensive Shirt’ splashed onto garments?) but it still knows how to have fun. For spring/summer 14, Moschino delved into the archives and pulled out its greatest hits for its star-packed birthday bash. While remixing the label's highlights, the show marked the end of Rossella Jardini's tenure as creative director. The extravaganza celebrated Rossella's rompish catwalk parades featuring housewives in curlers and sleeping masks, demure 50s ladies à la Chanel, over the top prints, trompe l’ œil and swishy petticoats. Rosella who has headed up the label since 1994, following the death of Franco has been succeded by Jeremy Scott. Sharing the label's sense of humour, wit and fun, Jeremy will make his runway debut at Moschino’s autumn/winter 2014 show in February.
