Agnès b. believes clothes do not have to be complicated to be beautiful. Born Agnès Trouble in Versailles in 1941, Agnès studied at Paris’ École des Beaux-Arts, before starting work as a Junior Editor for French Elle. She opened her first Parisian womenswear boutique in 1975, launching menswear in 1981, and childrenswear and accessories not long after. Today Agnèshas over one hundred stores worldwide, where she continues to deliver her own imitable blend of French style. Passionate about the arts, Agnès founded Galerie du Jour in Paris in 1984, through which she provides a platform to support and nurture young artists, photographers and filmmakers. She also owns the film company O’Salvation with close friend Harmony Korine, under whose banner Korine released Mister Lonely in 2006.
