With a face (and name) straight out of a Pre-Raphelite painting, tall gothic princess Guinevere Van Seenus had her first foray into fashion at the tender age of 15. Although joining a local modeling school in Santa Barbara, CA, it wasn’t until Mario Testino snapped her for French Vogue that the all American girl’s career really began to take off. After that, it was nothing but campaigns for Jil Sander, Kenzo and Chanel; shows for Givenchy, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors; spreads for Vogue, Love and i-D, and even a nomination for Vogue VH1’s Model of the Year award, in 1996. Still as dreamy as ever, Guinny is far from hanging up her modeling shoes; in 2012, Paolo Roversi dedicated an exhibition solely to portraits of the Arthurian beauty. Today her creativity shines not only through photographs but also through painting – she’s an amateur artist – and, since 2011, through her jewelry line Jacoba.
