Collier Schorr was born and raised in Brooklyn. Her iconic images examine ideas of gender, youth and identity, referencing controversial topics such as Nazism and wrestling. Attending the School of Visual Arts in New York in the 80s, Collier went on to build an impressive catalogue of exhibitions and an extensive bibliography. Her work has been displayed in many notable institutions including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Guggenheim, Berlin. As well as i-D, Collier’s editorial contributions include shoots for Vogue Hommes International and Purple. For i-D, she photographed Brazilian model Caio Vaz for the cover of The We Got Issues Issue, February 2007, Kim Ann Foxman for The Royalty Issue, Spring 2012, and Catherine McNeil for The Street Issue, Pre-Fall 2013. She is currently working on a screenplay, two books, and a tan in a small but sunny town in Germany.
