Mark Lebon's work for i-D spans three decades. Between 1984 and 1992, he shot a total of thirteen covers for the magazine, the first of which was Madonna for The Sexsense Issue in May 1984. Mark studied at West Surrey College of Art and Design and North East London Polytechnic and went on to produce memorable fashion editorial for magazines including i-D, The Face, ArenaBlitz, British Vogue, Italian Vogue, Arena Homme +, GQ, Tempo and Harper’s and Queen. Mark was a key player in the ‘Buffalo’ aesthetic spearheaded by stylist Ray Petri in the 80s. He has created commercial campaigns for clients including Katharine Hamnett, John Galliano, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Bodymap and Vivienne Westwood. In the mid 80s, he founded Crunch Productions Ltd, a company specialising in fashion, advertising, broadcasting and music promotion. Mark has two sons, Frank and Tyrone, who also shoots for i-D.

Favourite Place?There was a spot in a forest on the east coast of Australia, the middle of a river bed in a natural hot tub with a perfectly shaped seat and powerful yet perfectly placed water fall, but paradise turned into hell when a tropical rain storm flooded the river bed, I lost everyone and nearly got swept over a massive waterfall naked!
