Wes Anderson went to fashion week

During fashion week, when I should really be noticing the quality of the detailing, how the designer has come on since the last season and which girls are walking, sometimes all I can see are characters from my favourite films. Like some bizarre memory aid, I head back to the office asking if colleagues saw the radish spirit at Comme or Katniss Everdeen at Cavalli? This season, I saw plenty of Wes Anderson's troubled creations stalking the catwalks. Given the consistently perfect styling throughout his cinematic archive, this is great news. Here are a collection of my favourite looks...

  • Suzy Bishop

"What kind of bird are you?" Beautiful Suzy Bishop is the misunderstood little literary lover from 2012's Moonrise Kingdom. Here she is looking spectacularly grown-up walking for Junya Watanabe in the raven costume from her school play. Particularly lovely things about SB are her use of binoculars (she pretends seeing far away things is her magic power), her handwriting, and her future plan... "I want to go on adventures I think - not get stuck in one place."

  • fantastic mr fox

""I think I have this thing where everybody has to think I'm the greatest, the quote unquote 'Fantastic Mr. Fox', and if they aren't completely knocked out and dazzled and slightly intimidated by me, I don't feel good about myself." Don't worry foxy, I'm knocked out, dazzled and slightly intimidated by you and your handsome Maison Martin Margiela suit. Your whistle and wink gets me every single time.

  • bottle rocket

The massively underwatched Bottle Rocket sees two of the Wilson brothers and a friend go on a mission to pull off a suposedly simple robbery and go on the run. Classic theft attire consists of a not-so-subtle bright yellow Jacquemus jumpsuit, obviously. They're not really criminals, but everybody's got to have a dream!

  • margot tenenbaum

Probably one of the most instantly recognisable Wes Anderson looks, Margot's Givenchy fur coat and clipped back hair is an absolute classic. Incredibly intelligent and impressively secretive, Margot loves her brother a little too much. "I think we're just gonna to have to be secretly in love with each other and leave it at that, Richie."

  • darjeeling limited

"I wonder if the three of us would've been friends in real life. Not as brothers, but as people..." Travelling across India searching for both enlightenment and their AWOL mother, Jack, Peter and Francis hop aboard The Darjeeling Limited with their personalised Louis Vuitton luggage. Their Ann Demeulemeester suits are offset with little quirks like flower garlands and golden shirts.

  • max fischer

"Maybe I'm spending too much of my time starting up clubs and putting on plays. I should probably be trying harder to score chicks." Jason Schwartzman's Max Fischer is one of the worst students in 1998's Rushmore Academy and president of the bee keeping society, the drama club, the kite-flying association and every other extracurricular activity the school offers. When he's not mentoring younger students and writing plays, he can be found building aquariums in attempt to win his teacher's heart. This Rodarte model was working his signiture look - thick framed glasses and a red beret - back in New York.

  • Sam Shakusky

Sam Shakusky is Moonrise Kingdom's orphan Khaki Scout with a sensitive soul. He's got plenty of survival skills, wears his uniform with pride and isn't afraid to give French kissing a go. When partner in crime Suzy confesses that she wishes she was an orphan too (they have more interesting lives) he replies, "I love you, but you have no idea what you're talking about." He's a real sweetheart and I spotted him walking for Drew Henry at Central Saint Martin's graduate show.

  • chas tenenbaum

Chas Tenenbaum and his twin sons dress in the exact same tracksuits. They have regimented apartment evacuation drills, fitness training and little fun in their sheltered lives. I'd quite like to dress my entire family in this sparkley Ashish tracksuit. We'd all have matching princess hair and light-up trainers too. A girl can dream.
