Mikako Tabe is the 24 year old actress who went from playing Sailor Star Healer in Sailor Moon on the stage, to starring in films opposite i-D cover star Shota Matsuda and amassing a super-kawaii following with her big black eyes and animé features. From the TV to the silver screen to a billboard near you, if you're in Tokyo, Mikako's is a face you'll see everyday.
How did you get into acting?
My parents took me to lot of musicals. Then I got into acting.
What’s your career highlight so far?
When I acted in the movie Hinokio at the age of 15. It was the first time I was in a long shoot, very tough and fun at the same time. That was the job where I learned a lot.
What would be your dream role?
Want to play as a house wife who goes to cooking school.
How do you feel when you see your face on billboards or TV?
I still feel it's not really me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I want to have the same lifestyle I have now in my private life and my career life. If there is anything that would change, there would be my husband and my child by my side.
